FAQ - Information For Our Visitors and Friends

Come Join Us!

What are the directions to the church?

Click here for a map and directions.

Where do I park?
We have reserved Visitor Parking on the right side of the sanctuary on Monticello Street, adjacent to the covered side portico. Or you may prefer the main lot which is behind the church, accessible from either Church Street or Monticello. Handicap parking is available in the main lot behind the church right next to the church building. If the lot is full you may park on the street on Conyers, Church or Monticello. The church has entrances on all sides of the building. Please do not park long-term in the side portico driveway (on Monticello) or block the red fire lane at this side entrance.

What do I wear?
Come in whatever makes you comfortable. Some of our attendees wear their "Sunday Best," many men just wear sports shirts and casual slacks, and the ladies often wear pants or long walking shorts. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come to worship God and get to know us.

What do I bring?
You can bring your Bible if you have one, or Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience. The most important thing to bring is you, your family and friends.

When do I need to arrive?
Worship is Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 am, with Sunday School at 9:45. Plan to be at the church at least 15 minutes ahead of time to allow ample time for parking.

What do I do with my children?
Covington First has well qualified, trained and loving nursery workers for children ages 3 years and under. Children over 3 years (if potty trained) will attend worship services with their parents, and then after the Children’s Sermon (during the service), ages 3 years through 3rd grade will leave the Sanctuary to go to Children’s Worship. We will announce where to pick up your child after Worship.
