Baptism and Membership

Baptism
Each baby born is truly a miracle and blessing in the eyes of the family of Covington First UMC. When these children are brought by their parents to be Baptized, not only just the parents, but the congregation as well, promise to love, nurture and guide these children on their spiritual journey with God.

Membership
At Covington First United Methodist Church you will find yourself among people who believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. We want you to find His presence in worship and in your daily life. We want to assure you that we are a congregation of caring people where you will experience a genuine sense of belonging. There is truly a place of Christian love and fellowship here for you.

There are three ways to join Covington First United Methodist Church:

Transfer Letter... when you are currently a member of another church and wish to transfer to Covington First. We willl request your transfer letter for you. All you need to do is let us know the name and city of the church and we'll take care of the details.

Profession of Faith... when you have been baptized, but do not belong to a church at this time.

Baptism... If you desire to have your child Baptized or you have not been baptized, or joined a church to date.

Once you have decided to join...
Please call the church office at 770-786-7305 and speak with either Claudia Minge or Tamra Holder
